What is FounderToo?
FounderToo is an AI-powered job search assistant built by a job seeker to help candidates evaluate opportunities before spending time applying. It analyzes job descriptions against your resumes and preferences, generates application strategies, prepares interview material, and tracks where you stand on every role.
Who built FounderToo and why?
FounderToo was built by Robert Figueras during his own job search after realizing how much time was being wasted on applications with very low odds. The product was designed to make that decision - should I apply to this? - faster, more transparent, and grounded in your actual profile.
How does FounderToo score jobs?
FounderToo compares each job description against your resume(s), profile preferences, salary expectations, work-type, company-stage, and any custom rules you have set. It then assigns one of three verdicts: YES, CONSIDER, STRETCH, and explains the reasoning.
What do YES, CONSIDER, STRETCH mean?
YES is a strong fit worth pursuing. CONSIDER is a somewhat fit that benefits from tailoring. STRETCH is a lower-probability role that you can still pursue intentionally. A full breakdown lives on the scoring page.
Does FounderToo apply to jobs for me?
No. FounderToo never submits applications. It is a decision-support tool, you stay in control of every application, every cover letter, and every outreach message.
How is FounderToo different from auto-apply tools?
Auto-apply tools optimize for volume; FounderToo optimizes for fit. The goal is fewer, better-targeted applications with clearer reasoning behind each one, not blasting hundreds of low-probability roles.
Is FounderToo free?
Yes. Core functionality is free. If FounderToo saves you time in your search and you want to support the project, you can buy the founder a coffee, contributions are optional and help cover AI, hosting, and operating costs.
What data does FounderToo store, and is it used to train AI?
FounderToo stores your resumes, profile, and analyzed jobs so you can return to them. Your data is used only to power your own analyses. It is not used to train any AI model.
Can I upload more than one resume?
Yes. You can store multiple resumes and pick which one to use when scoring a role, generating application strategy, or preparing for an interview. FounderToo can also surface which resume is the strongest match for a given job.
Which job boards does FounderToo work with?
Public job URLs from LinkedIn, company career pages, and most other job boards work directly. When a link is blocked or behind a login, you can paste the raw job description and FounderToo will analyze it the same way.
Is there a browser extension?
Yes. A Chrome extension lets you quick-save jobs from the page you're already on, so analysis happens in the background while you keep browsing.
How does the unemployment-tracking feature work?
FounderToo can mark jobs you have applied to for unemployment reporting and export the relevant fields so you can satisfy weekly requirements without re-typing everything.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your jobs to CSV at any time, so your decision history is portable and yours to keep.
